Schedule

Your stay at The Sanctuary starts on Sunday with a vegetarian lunch, prepared from the freshest ingredients and cooked in our kitchen. Your first private consultation will take place, during which the RE-BOOT Program is modified according to your personal needs.
Enjoy your first sauna on Sunday afternoon, and then attend an introductory lecture outlining the activities for the following days. Savour our freshly made vegetable broth before returning to the sanctuary of your own room.
Monday begins early with exercises and a pleasant walk. You will be treated to your first juice of the day, after which different freshly-made juices will be served to you on a two hourly basis.
Our first health lecture starts on Monday morning. Discover how your body is designed to heal itself naturally, when you provide the optimal conditions.
During the first few days you will be coached through a powerful cleanse. You will enjoy a nourishing combination of protein drinks, vegetable juices and broths.
Body toxins will be mobilised, then eliminated during daily sauna and healing treatments. Every organ of your body will be refreshed and revived.
Each day really does get better! Every morning you will awake feeling more energised and even more rejuvenated.
Tuesday through to Thursday follow a similar format to Monday. Each day involves invaluable exercise, your juice fast, bush walks, mouth-watering food with plenty of time to pursue outside activities or enjoy some valuable downtime.
Cleansing and health restoring treatments are an essential part of our RE-BOOT Program. Relax with a massage, stimulate your body via a hydrotherapy session and finish your day with a detoxifying sauna.
Our lively health lectures detail the 8 LAWS OF HEALTH and how you can gently bring these laws into your lifestyle. Our lectures give easily actionable and valuable information. Topics revolve around self-care, lifestyle and longevity.

Private
CONSULT

A private consultation is scheduled on your first day to see how the RE-BOOT Program can be adapted to you individually. Your first consult takes 40 minutes and is carried out by Naturopath Toosje and Wendy. A shorter follow-up consult will take place on Day 4 to check in with how you are doing.
Rest assured that both meetings are strictly confidential.
You will be asked questions about your health history, current symptoms and lifestyle. Using the information you share, you will go away with personal recommendations and practical steps you can immediately implement to improve your well-being.
Healing
CUISINE

Eating a whole food, plant based diet that is naturally low in fat and cholesterol, and high in fiber offers immense health benefits. The Sanctuary offers a large array of mainly raw cuisine designed to nourish both body and soul.
Living foods high in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre give you vibrant health, increased longevity and a better quality of life.
The food you eat during the RE-BOOT Program offers many long-term health benefits if you continue to eat this way. Your risk of developing heart disease, high blood pressure, many forms of cancer, adult onset diabetes and obesity are greatly reduced.
Enjoy superb foods packaged in a variety of delicious ways including smoothies, juices, fruit platters, soups and salads. We offer cooking demonstrations to show you how to prepare food so your body receives maximum nutrition. All dishes stem from the freshest ingredients and are prepared lovingly on site.
HEALTH
Lectures

Our health lectures are structured for full participation and interaction. The purpose of these talks is to both inform and inspire.
We delve into the 8 LAWS OF HEALTH. These 8 principals form the core practice of the RE-BOOT Program. As well as these we discuss the undeniable connection between the mind and body. And how our bodies are designed to heal with the aid of natural and inexpensive remedies.
Besides health lectures we also put on some short DVDs. They are insightful, astounding and valuable to watch.
Exercise
CLASS

Exercise in the form of gentle stretching and brisk walking will take place daily. Your health and fitness level will determine how much and for how long you exercise. Whether you are a speed walker or can only go slowly, Trounson Kauri Park gives a beautiful setting and is perfect for all walking paces.
Our RE-BOOT Program advocates walking as the best form of exercise. Walking gives multiple health benefits to your body with little risk of injury or stress. It reduces both your blood pressure and resting heart rate, improving lung and heart efficiency.
Walking encourages blood circulation, improving the efficiency of small vessels that supply blood for respiration. The transportation of oxygen-rich blood to your muscles is greatly improved.
From a metabolic standpoint, walking helps reduce and maintain a healthy weight. A brisk walk can burn up to 300 calories per hour. Cholesterol levels, blood sugar and heart attack risk are all lessened.
Emotionally, walking is brilliant for clearing your head and gaining new perspective. Your body's natural feel-good hormones release endorphins which promote peaceful feelings of happiness and well-being.
HYDRO
Therapy

Hydrotherapy is the use of water treatments to stimulate healing. There are many forms of hydrotherapy from steam packs and ice packs to alternate showers and baths. In our RE-BOOT Health Program the hydrotherapy we employ, is the external use of hot and cold water therapy.
Dr Richard Schulze used many natural healing methods, but at the top of his list of effective treatments in helping the body to heal itself was hot and cold water therapy.
Hot water relaxes your body, while cold water stimulates it. Together they act like a hydrostatic pump, encouraging blood flow. Hot water stimulates blood flow to the surface of your body while cold water stimulates blood flow to the core of your body. Together they bring fresh blood to your vital organs, glands and every cell inside your body.
Hydrotherapy promotes healing by encouraging oxygen and nutrients to be absorbed by the cells and toxins and pathogens to be released by the cells.
The better your circulatory system functions the greater health you will enjoy!
Infrared
SAUNA

Infrared Sauna is an extremely effective method for natural healing and prevention of disease. It's light has the ability to penetrate human tissue facilitating detoxification, relaxation, lower blood pressure, cellular health, weight loss, increased circulation and pain relief.
Sweating is your body's natural way of eliminating toxins. Far infrared sauna benefits the body by heating it directly. This causes a rise in body temperature resulting in a deep, detoxifying sweat.
Relaxation is an essential part of our RE-BOOT Health Program and infrared sauna promotes exactly this. Therapeutic heat encourages intense relaxation, lowers blood pressure and improves sleep.
Health starts from a cellular level. Infrared sauna stimulates the circulatory system and oxygenates the body’s cells more fully. Better oxygenation at a cellular level equals more vibrant health.
Infrared sauna encourages an increase in blood flow typical to that seen during exercise. Increased blood flow means fresh oxygen reaches your cells and waste is carried away more efficiently. One infrared sauna session can burn a minimum of 600 calories.
If you suffer from minor aches and pains, infrared sauna can help. Soothing heat penetrates through to tissues, joints, and muscles to relieve acute and chronic pain conditions. You may experience a decrease in muscle spasms and increased recovery time.
